We are looking for a communicative, motivated, and easy-going colleague for the position of Junior Developer to join an established multi-country application project.You will become part of our team working on the development of business applications across multiple countries. We will teach you how to work within the Incentives environment by the Canadian company Varicent.The project also includes components in Java, frontend in React, backend in Spring Boot, and ETL batch processing in the AWS cloud.

What we expect from our new team member:

  • Basic knowledge of data modeling and data understanding
  • Hands-on experience with SQL
  • Logical thinking for implementing bonus calculation logic
  • Ability to navigate and maintain an overview of complex business logic implementations
  • Willingness to learn from more experienced colleagues while working on an interesting project
  • Knowledge of Java (either frontend or backend) is welcome
  • Motivation to gain knowledge certified by international AWS/GCP certifications

Additional required skills/qualifications:

  • Minimum of secondary education with 2 years of experience in IT, or a university degree
  • Czech language at C1 level
  • English at minimum B1 level – both spoken and written (you’ll join stand-ups with international key users in English)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude

I enjoy the fact that work never slips into a routine and I'm not bored -- I'm constantly learning something new while passing on the experience to more junior colleagues.
