The new year had barely begun, and we at Assist were already on the move.
Our first company event of 2026 took us to the mountains - specifically to Pec pod Sněžkou, right in the heart of the Krkonoše National Park.
Despite dramatic weather forecasts and snowy roads, everyone arrived safely at our cozy wellness hotel near the cable car to the Czech highest mountain.
Once we were all together, the weekend truly began. And there was plenty to choose from. After dinner, a late-night buffet awaited us, and we could enjoy the bowling alley or simply relax with a beer, a glass of wine or a mug of mulled wine.
Saturday offered something for everyone - from skiing, cross-country trails, and winter hikes to full relaxation in the wellness area, pool, sauna, and even an outdoor ice rink.
Luckily, the dire weather forecasts did not come true. It was cold, but nothing extreme, and in the afternoon we were even rewarded with sunshine and perfect mountain scenery. Of course, conditions on Sněžka were windy (as expected) - but that’s simply part of this mountain’s character.
The evening brought a guided tour and tasting at the local mini-brewery, followed by live music and singing. Some of our colleagues – big fans of Tři sestry band –headed for the live concert which happened to take place in Pec that very day. On Sunday, a hearty breakfast awaited us, followed by departures home - after digging our cars out of the snowbanks, of course. In the end, everything turned out well. Everyone made it home safely, and our first company event of the year left us with wonderful memories, plenty of photos, and, in some cases, pleasantly sore muscles from all the activities.
